Project Management

This course develops a working foundation of the basic concepts of managing a project that includes initiating, planning, scheduling, executing, monitoring and controlling, resource budgeting, performance measurement assessments, and efficient follow-through required for the successful completion of a project. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of the ten project management knowledge areas: 1) integration, 2) scope, 3) time, 4) cost, 5) quality, 6) human resources, 7) communications, 8) risk, 9) procurement, and 10) stakeholder management.
